One-man operation owned by a fashion conglomerate. In addition to Koshu, this is a good place to try wine from obscure Japanese grapes such as Kyoho, Pione and Adiron Dac, some semi-sweet. This may be the only place in the region you can find Semillon, which they make in an oaked, dry style. Depending on the time of year you may have to call the number on the door to get the winemaker to open up.
15 minutes’ walk from Katsunuma-budokyo Station, a good way-point if you are walking down into Katsunuma.
Opening hours: Call ahead (Closed Sundays, National Holidays and year-end/New Year period)
